My name is Mau and I’m here to share with you my passion for macrame, crystals’ magical energy and bohemian jewelry.
I got captivated by this fascinating technique while travelling in South America a few years ago. Since then, it became a way to let my artistic soul express itself, a way to relax and to meditate as well. I used to give away my first jewelry pieces to friends and family, but then I realized I could share my work with more people so I opened my little shop on Etsy. This helped me to make one of my dreams come true – to live only from what my hands and mind can create.
Every piece is unique and handmade with love, positive energy and in an eco friendly way! I use semi precious stones which have healing properties. Those little gifts from our Mother Earth help you to acheive peace, health and self confidence, among others. They have been used by indigenous people throughout centuries for spiritual purposes and my creations are inspired by their tribal jewelry and indigenous women from all around the world.
The name of my brand ❖ QUETZART ❖ comes from Quetzal, an amazing bird that lives in the forest of Central America. By Aztecs and Mayas it was considered divine, a symbol of freedom and wealth. Quetzal cannot live in captivity, for once captivated, it will die soon. And I firmly believe that our creativity is the same – one cannot live to the fullest if his creativity is restricted! There are no words that could possibly explain how grateful I am to the universe that finally I have found my own way.
